Delete Tickets
Delete tickets from the seating chart for an event.
Deleting tickets makes the specific seats selected unavailable for sale to all users.
If you wish to selectively make seats unavailable for specific users or internet customers only, then you should go to Maintenance > User Maintenance > Rights.
You must also use the Delete Tickets function and not Maintenance > User Maintenance > Rights when making specific Season Tickets unavailable for sale.
NOTE: If you wish to change any of the ticket Prices for either Reserved seating or General Admission events where you are using a Seating chart, you cannot simply change the Prices from the Prices drop-down box in Maintenance > Event > Pricing > Prices. Instead you must firstly delete the tickets, enter the new prices and then re-generate the tickets, as described below.
From the main menu bar, select .
Click on the Delete Tickets button near the bottom of the window.
The seating chart will then appear.
Click on the seat(s) on the chart to select or draw a rectangular box with your mouse around selected seats.
The seats to be deleted will turn yellow.
Note that the delete process will not delete any seats that have already been sold or reserved and these will remain highlighted in the original colors.
Click on the OK button and a pop-up box will appear asking “Do you really want to delete tickets?”
Select Yes.
A pop up box will appear saying "Number of ticket(s) deleted:xx"Click on OK.If you subsequently wish to re-generate these deleted tickets (after applying new base prices), go to Maintenance > Event.
Highlight the event to select, click the Modify button, and go to the Pricing drop-down box.
Select the required Pricing Name, click on the Prices button, then the Modify button and enter your amended prices.
Click on the Accept button.
Back in the main Event maintenance window, highlight the event and click on the Generate additional tickets button.
As in the procedure above, a pop-up box will ask you “Do you want to really want to generate tickets?”
Select Yes.
If the tickets were successfully generated, a pop-up box will appear as saying “Number of tickets generated;xx" and in the Total column in Event maintenance, the number of seats generated should be displayed alongside the particular event.
